The parts you need

• One Parallel Port male pin header (I like the 90 degree one, but that's up to you)
• Some LEDs (any old colour will do - ultra bright ones are fine too)
• One resistor (1 Kilo-ohm) for each LED you want
• One small piece of tinned perfboard (optional - you could freeform the circuit if you want)
• A few bits of solid core wire (20 guage if you want to use the wire-wrap tool - stay tuned)
• Some solder
